In the area

The Rutland Arms Hotel is the just the place from which to explore. The local town of Newmarket is the home of British Horse Racing and the National Stud conducts guided tours from March to September. Also of note is the Horse Racing Museum, just a short walk from the Rutland Arms Hotel. To take your passion for horses further, why not spend a day at the races with July and Rowley Racecourses within easy reach.

Originally built in the 1700s, around a cobbled courtyard, the Rutland Arms is one of the most distinctive and attractive buildings in Newmarket and boasts a wealth of period features accompanied by modern business facilities. The Motto displayed on our coat of arms ‘Pour y Parvenir’ – “to attain” is exactly what we aim to do – combining a high level of hospitality and service.
