The Tower House is a Seventeenth century townhouse situated on a quiet street, in the heart of Oxford city centre. The hotel has seven unique rooms, each one is individually designed and furnished with period antiques. The hotel is steeped in history, the bastion of the medieval city walls form part of the breakfast room and the front of the hotel overlooks Jesus College.

 

The hotel is a listed building, and is an ideal place to stay while you explore the delightful city of Oxford, famous for its dreaming spires, ancient University colleges and beautiful architecture.

In the area

Located in the heart of historic Oxford, everything you would want to see in this remarkable city is right on our doorstep. We are within a 5 minute walk from most of the tourist attractions including. The Bodleian Library where scholars, including many European Kings have studied.

 

We are surrounded by colleges including the largest and most famous college in Oxford, Christ Church, where scenes from Harry Potter was filmed in the Great Hall Staircase and Cloisters as well as many other beautiful and historic colleges. There are many museums including the, Pitt Rivers and University Museum which will fascinate both children and adults alike.

 

For a more relaxing day out consider the famous pastime of punting on the River Thames and River Cherwell.
