Oxford Hotels & Inns is undertaking a substantial £6.5m investment programme across its estate which has resulted in extensive refurbishment works to upgrade bedrooms, conferencing and leisure facilities as well as restaurants, bars and lounge areas.
Hotels that have benefited from investment include The Gleddoch House Hotel & Golf Club at Langbank near Glasgow; Skeabost Country House on The Isle of Skye; St Mellons Country House Hotel near Cardiff; Stonefield Castle in Argyll and the Rutland Arms in Newmarket.
The investment has also included the purchase of a new property - the 500 year old former coaching inn, the George Hotel on Colchester’s High Street, which helps to further strengthen the company’s position as a leading UK hotel operator.
