The Craigellachie Hotel was built in 1893 and is located within the beautiful village of the Craigellachie near Elgin. While the hotel still offers the rare opportunity to savour the style and elegance of a by-gone era, all the comforts of a first-class hotel await you with dedicated team members to ensure your stay is everything you would expect.

 

The Craigellachie Hotel has 26 en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has been decorated gracefully and homely to enhance the character of each room.

 

Our master bedrooms and mini-suites offer some of the most beautiful views of the surrounding areas including the River Spey and the famous Thomas Telford Bridge built in 1814.

Overview

There are nearly 700 whiskies that line the walls of our world famous Quaich Bar. Our in house whisky specialist will be happy to conduct nosing and tasting sessions for up to around 20 people. Our Quaich Bar has been exhibited in New York, Chicago, Paris, Berlin and Leiden. A dram in the Quaich bar will cost you anything from £2.00 to £275.00 per nip.

 

For the twelfth consecutive year, our Ben Aigan Restaurant has been awarded one AA Rosette. Our award winning kitchen brigade prepares only the finest Scottish cuisine to ensure you enjoy the very best in taste and quality.

 

Our Head Chef has proudly been awarded Grampian Chef of the year and winner of the Spirit of Speyside cooking competition.

The hotel is situated by the Spey River, world famous for its exceptional salmon fishing. The Craigellachie’s Fishing beat is situated on the river Spey right in front of the hotel. The beat is predominantly time share but let rods are normally available throughout the season.

 

By choosing the Craigellachie Hotel, the malt whisky trail is on your doorstep with 52 distilleries around the area. Craigellachie is also the home of the Speyside Cooperage where the local coopers make the casks for the exceptional whisky. The Speyside Way passes directly in front of the hotel and links the Moray Coast with the edge of the Grampian Mountains. It is one of four official long distance routes in Scotland.

It’s the individual touches that make the difference, so if there's a particular dish you would prefer or fireworks at midnight, let us arrange those details for you.

 

Our wedding co-ordinator can assist you with the planning and preparations required to make your day perfect. A full show round of the hotel, menu and wine tasting is included in our wedding package. We can assist you with florists, cakes, decorations, speeches and photographers to ensure the run up to your big day is hassle free.

 

On the day

On your wedding day, your wedding co-ordinator will be on hand to assist the operations team with your wedding and ensuring everything meets with your expectations and agreed order of service.

 

Special bedroom rates for your friends and family are available for the evening of your wedding. We have 26 en-suite bedrooms all decorated to an extremely high standard. Upgrade to one of our mini suites overlooking the river Spey and Thomas Telford Bridge.

 

After

The Craigellachie’s beautiful Bridal suite will await you for your first evening together as Mr and Mrs. Awake to an impressive champagne breakfast the following morning delivered to the privacy of your bedroom. The Craigellachie Hotel is an ideal venue for your next meeting, training or team building session. Exclusive use of the hotel is available on certain dates to ensure privacy, tranquillity and sole use of all hotel facilities.

 

The Avon Suite is situated on the ground floor and can cater for approximately 70 guests. Adjacent to the Avon Suite is the hotels drawing room which can be used for a break out or syndicate room.

 

Similarly on the ground floor is the Spey Suite that overlooks the River Spey. This is an impressive room with excellent views, natural daylight and is stylishly decorated. This room can be used for smaller meetings and training sessions.

 

We are able to offer Daily Delegate and 24 hour rates for all events. A choice of services ensures every detail is carefully considered to meet your corporate needs.
