The Newton Hotel, once regularly frequented by Charlie Chaplin and his family, stands in 21 acres of mature parkland and gardens in the Highland town of Nairn. Overlooking the Moray Firth and beyond to the Black Isle, the Newton Hotel is the ideal location for guests in search of peace and tranquility to relax and unwind.
The hotel boasts 56 luxury en-suite bedrooms, all elegantly furnished and individually designed.
Originally built as a family home in the 17th Century, the Newton Hotel has seen a number of improvements, including the recent addition of the Highland Conference Centre, which can host a variety of functions and conferences for up to 350 people. In the area
Thanks to its remarkable fine weather and miles of untouched sandy beaches, the town of Nairn has been a favourite holiday resort dating back to Victorian times. The Newton Hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the delightful surrounding areas.
You may wish to consider a boat trip on the Moray Firth where you may be lucky enough to spot bottled nosed dolphins. Or perhaps a visit to Inverness Castle, now used as the main courthouse. Visitors cannot visit the area without taking in Loch Ness – will you catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster?
For golf enthusiasts, there is Nairn Golf Course, host of the Walker Cup in 1999. A truly remarkable feature of this course is that from every hole you are spoilt by the magnificent views offered by the Moray Firth.

The Newton Hotel is licensed to hold both Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships on the premises, which us allows us to host not only your wedding reception, but ceremony as well. Next morning, the Bride and Groom will awake in our magnificent Bridal Suite, overlooking our enchanting landscaped gardens. Enjoy a champagne breakfast in your room, or take a hearty full Scottish breakfast with your guests to reminisce before they depart.
